Needle felting for Easter

Hello Fiber Friends!

The Easter season will soon be here. ✝️ I wanted to share a relatively quick project with you. Needle felted styrofoam eggs 🐣

Supplies: styrofoam eggs( make sure they are the porous not smooth), fiber that is not too long of a staple length, felting needle (36 &38 work best)

Pull off small bits of fiber and lay thin layer on egg. It is ok if it’s not all covered. You can go back and fill in. Needle gently. You do not want to poke too deep. Also make sure you keep needle straight and don’t bend it. They break easily under stress.

Needle all over until nice and smooth. When you are happy it is time to decorate!

Option 1: add small accents. I needled small circles.

Option 2: Needle a thin line of roving around the egg.

Option 3: needle yarn over the egg.

There are so many things you can do. Needle a scene, a bunny, or a cross. You could also glue small beads.
I hope you have enjoyed this project. Please share your work on my facebook pagehttps://Www.facebook.com/anitasfiberart
